Have you ever thought of taking on an allotment? Sherfield on Loddon Parish Council has an allotment site located close to the Village Green.
There is a group of enthusiastic allotment holders (Sherfield Allotment Association - SAA). They would be pleased to help you settle in and give you advice and support if you need it. Allotment plots are offered as full, half or quarter plots (this is a new size plot and is subject to demand).
The rates are as follows:
For Sherfield on Loddon residents:
Full Plot £44
Half Plot £22
Quarter Plot £11
For out of Parish residents:
Full Plot £66
Half Plot £39
Quarter Plot £22
Raised Beds: There are now raised beds on the Community Plot available for rent. If you fulful the following criterea or wnat further information please contact Charlie on plot 8.
1, Former plot holders no longer able to manage their plot but want to continue to be a part of the allotment community
2, Any disability restricting the ability to work a plot
There is a very limited number of 'quarter' plots. If there is sufficient demand, further quarter plots may be made available. Recently one plot has been converted as a shared community plot to provide accessible raised beds. If you are interested in either of these options or would like to go on the waiting list please contact the Allotment Assocaition on email@example.com

Senior citizens and those on fixed benefits will continue to pay at half the above rates. Please contact the Parish Clerk if you think you qualify for a reduction.
Following a review of deposits, the Parish Council has set the deposit at £25 for all plots. This will be refundable at the end of the tenancy provided the plot is left in a suitable condition for re-letting. New tenants who live outside the parish of Sherfield on Loddon will incur an additional non-refundable administration charge of £10 per plot.
The updated Tenancy Agreement shows the terms and conditions of the allotments.
